Purpose
The purpose of the National Citizens Archive is to protect and promote the testimony and Commissioners’ Reports of the independent National Citizens Inquiry.
What is the National Citizens Archive?
The National Citizens Archive is a citizen organized group dedicated to protecting and promoting the testimony and Commissioners Reports of the Independent National Citizens Inquiry.
What was the National Citizens Inquiry?
Covid-19, and how governments and institutions reacted to Covid-19, will prove to be the most impactful event of our lives.
To learn from what happened, and to ensure that the best decisions possible are made during any future pandemic, Canadian Citizens organized and formed the independent National Citizens Inquiry (the NCI).
This is the only time in history that citizens have organized an independent inquiry.
Why is NCI testimony and Commissioners’ Reports so important?
The NCI held 27 days of hearings in nine cities to inquire into Covid-19. There are 405 witness testimonies on Covid. The NCI hearings are the most comprehensive hearings into Covid in the world. They are also the most compelling.
The Commissions Reports based on the hearings are the only independent reports into Covid anywhere in the world. The Recommendations in the Commissioners Reports are the only independent recommendations for governments and citizens to benefit from and to learn from our mistakes.
The NCI testimony and Commissioners Reports are the best resource available anywhere for us to understand what happened and to chart a better way forward.
The NCI’s mantra was to Listen, to Learn, and to Recommend. The NCI succeeded.
We are at a turning point where Canadians need to understand what has happened and how to we can best move forward together. The NCI testimony and Commissioners Reports are the best resources available for Canadians to understand the most significant event in our lifetimes.
